I just finished watching the movie "Letters to God". It's about a boy who had cancer and changed the lives of those around him. You can only imagine how it spoke to me about the life of my own son and so many of his friends who we have seen fight and sometimes succumb to the battle with cancer. It confirms and magnifies what we already know God's plan was/is for Braydon's life.
In the movie (which is a true story) a wise man told the boy who was struggling to understand why this happened to him and his family...
"You've been chosen for the role of your lifetime. You've been hand-picked by God. God has chosen you, the strongest, the smartest, the wisest....to receive the honor-the honor of being chosen as one of God's warriors. You are a warrior which means you can ride forth victoriously in truth, humility, and rightousness. Even though you are sick, when people see how strong and brave you are, it makes them take a look at their own lives. God is truth and it's your job to point them toward HIM."
May Jacoby and I always remember to be thankful that Braydon was chosen. And that we were chosen to be his parents.
