I just finished watching the movie "Letters to God". It's about a boy who had cancer and changed the lives of those around him. You can only imagine how it spoke to me about the life of my own son and so many of his friends who we have seen fight and sometimes succumb to the battle with cancer. It confirms and magnifies what we already know God's plan was/is for Braydon's life.
In the movie (which is a true story) a wise man told the boy who was struggling to understand why this happened to him and his family...
"You've been chosen for the role of your lifetime. You've been hand-picked by God. God has chosen you, the strongest, the smartest, the wisest....to receive the honor-the honor of being chosen as one of God's warriors. You are a warrior which means you can ride forth victoriously in truth, humility, and rightousness. Even though you are sick, when people see how strong and brave you are, it makes them take a look at their own lives. God is truth and it's your job to point them toward HIM."
May Jacoby and I always remember to be thankful that Braydon was chosen. And that we were chosen to be his parents.
Braydon, you've changed our lives and I'm sure the lives of many we will never even know. You give us hope! Click HERE for the song.

8 years...
Thursday was mine and Jacoby' 8 year anniversary. Definetly alot to celebrate! We had dinner at Red Lobster then went to Hastings (our favorite store) where we ran to opposite corners of the store and didn't see each other for an hour-lol). When we got back to Sulphur Springs, we had dessert at Burton's (can't beat pie and coffee at midnight!) And our last stop of the night was at Wal-Mart to get balloons that had been promised to Braydon. What kind of date would it have been without having errands to do for your kids!!! LOL. Oh well, that's what this is all about! :-)

The TONGUE...
In case you haven't noticed (yeah right) Deacon is often seen with his tongue hanging, at least partially, out of his mouth. We don't know why exactly he does this but he does come by it naturally. Jacoby did this as a child and still even as an adult if he is concentrating really hard he still does it sometimes. Strange the unique mannerisms kids pick of from their parents.
This weekend I took some pictures of the boys...they are precious!!! To view them click HERE. The pictures below are the tongue bloopers from Deacon! Enjoy!
